28 years of loving this man. 28 years of being loved by this man. Our love is not a result of random coincidence, but rather a deliberate choice, a deep connection, and a feeling of destiny. It is something special and meaningful that was meant to be. It is a continuous journey of choosing each other day in and day out. Trauma fundamentally alters who we are. The past two years have been filled with traumatic experiences that have changed me in so many ways. So many times I have heard, “well aren’t you past this yet?”
Let’s talk truth about the notion of simply
“getting over it”, it’s a myth. While the five stages of grief outline common phases in processing loss, the reality is much broader: a significant life upheaval creates a new normal. There’s no returning to the “old me”; you are forever changed, NO exceptions.
However, this transformation isn’t entirely negative. Healing from my trauma has lead to the discovery of new strengths and sources of joy in my life.
Each day I grow stronger, even on the days I don’t believe I do. Those are the days, when I look back, I have probably grown the most.
I’ve had to learn, the objective of healing isn’t to mask the changes in an attempt to maintain a facade of normalcy. Instead, it’s about embracing your new reality-imperfections, insights, and all-with a fabulously fighting spirit. Lemon curd chia seed parfait

Ingredient’s
* ½ cup monk fruit sugar
* 1 tablespoon cornstarch
* ½ cup non-dairy milk (such as soy or almond)
* ¼ cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
* 2 teaspoons lemon zest (from about 1 lemon)
* ⅛ teaspoon turmeric (optional for colour)
Instructions
* In a small pot, whisk together the monk fruit and cornstarch. Now mix in the non-dairy milk, lemon juice, lemon zest, and turmeric. Put over medium heat, whisking frequently, until the curd thickens, about 5 minutes. You may need to whisk vigorously as it thickens to ensure a smooth curd.
* Remove from heat and pour into a heat safe container to cool. Enjoy warm or store in the fridge for up to 1 week. It will thicken more as it cools.
* Layer chia seed pudding, homemade granola and lemon curd for a yummy breakfast treat or as a light and delicious dessert

Cherry Almond Smoothie
1 ripe banana, preferably frozen
* 1 cup frozen cherries
* 2 cups organic spinach (note that this will change the color of the smoothie, but not the flavor)
* 1 tablespoon almond butter
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
* 1/2 cup almond milk
* 1 scoop your favorite protein powder

Game Day vegan Favorite!! Buffalo cauliflower bites
* 1 large head cauliflower (about 5 cups)
* 1 cup water
* 3/4 cup all purpose flour
* 1 tablespoon garlic powder
* 1 tablespoon onion powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
* 1 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce
* 1 tablespoon vegan butter, melted
* 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Instructions
* Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spray generously with oil. 
* Wash and cut cauliflower into bite sized pieces. 
* In a large bowl, add water, flour, garlic and onion powder, and salt. Whisk until well combined. Place the panko breadcrumbs in a small bowl.  
* Add the cauliflower to the batter in the bowl, and toss to combine and really coat the cauliflower. Remove the pieces of cauliflower, one by one, and tap off the excess batter a few times on the side of the bowl.  
* Roll each floret in the breadcrumbs to coat, then place on the prepared baking sheet and make sure they are not touching each other, or they will all get stuck together as they bake. Spray the tops with oil, this will help them get super crispy. 
* Bake for 20 minutes. Flip them over and bake for 15 more minutes, until golden and crispy. 
* While the cauliflower are baking, prepare the hot sauce/butter mixture. Melt the butter in a saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce, maple syrup. Set aside. 
* Once the cauliflower have cooked and are crispy, toss the florets with the sauce in a large bowl, then return to the pan. You can serve them immediately, or to make them crispier, put them back in the oven for 15-20 minutes. If you want them super crispy, leave the buffalo sauce on the side for dipping as you go.

Autumn Coffee Sugar Scrub
● 1 cup Fresh Coffee Grounds  ● 15 drops wild sweet orange essential oil
● 3 drops cinnamon essential oils  ● 1 cup organic Cane Sugar ● ½ cup Organic coconut oil

Mix all ingredients together in a glass bowl, making sure to get down the sides of the bowl.
The consistency should be wet, just damp. Scrubs do not need a ton of moisture: just enough. Transfer into small glass jars for storage and gifting.

Benefits
Scrubbing the face and body with coffee grounds can help to clear away dead skin cells and unclog the pores. The chlorogenic acids in coffee may also reduce inflammation and protect against some strains of bacteria.
